My CD clutter is untameable.

I have this habit of leaving piles of cds lying around in different parts of my house -- well, usually on the dining table where i sometimes sort them; or in my study upstairs, where I bring them up to be ripped to MP3s for my player. And I also have this infuriating habit of putting the wrong disc into the wrong case. Or leaving the cd out somewhere and putting the case back into the stack. So, sometimes when I'm feeling a little bit redhotchilipeppery, I instead find Tracy Chapman and her fast car.

Sometimes, I feel like cleaning up and I organize my CDs back into the cd rack. But, that usually doesn't last long...

This journal entry was made last December and am posting this now for the everydaymatters drawing theme #9 "Piles." Posted by Hello

  • I am the same, Ian, but my problem is with my books. There are piles of them everywhere, all over the house. They are beside all of the chairs that I use, beside the bed and on the floor by my desk. Most people would say that I am too lazy to put them away but that is where I like to read.

  • I'm the same also, especially when I'm ripping them to my mp3 player. We've got about 800 cds so the mess really gets out of hand. We got a box of empty cd cases and spindle of cds that don't match up. Occasionally I come across a pair and get excited.
