bed and boom

For everydaymatters drawing challenge #5 & #6:

That's Boom, my perennially asleep bear. He was given to me for my birthday by my favorite kid reporter whom I worked with in 5 and Up [a children's show]. He was only 12 then. And now, Boom is turning 10 years old. And my little boy is now 22. *Sniff* Posted by Hello

  • I like your drawing, it looks homely. Hope you are enjoying The Hobbit! Bear always asleep looks very huggable.

I looked at your wonderful hand-made journals a while ago, but I think I didn't post then. They are fantastic, thank you for sharing them, very inspiring to me.

  • I think that it is terribly clever of you to manage to include two challanges in one.

I enjoy the way that you have wound the text entry in your journal in and around the drawings. I find that once I have the images, then the words just tumble out. Is it the same with yours?

    Cheers

  • He does look cuddly. I like your page layout. And the date stamp. Maybe that would solve all my journal problems :) !

  • Ian,
I like your l'il bear ... and the way your picture spills over two pages in a very charming way! Nice line work.

  • Thanks for your comments, everyone!

Robyn, yup! I drew that spread in a club while watching a band perform. Then, when I got home I looked at my drawing, and I knew exactly what to write. =)

Just wanted to say that I love your drawings. Thanks for sharing them!

  • This is a lovely drawing. How do you draw on both sides of the page like that? I love the effect but myself can't hold an open book AND draw. Even with the book on a table I can't do it! Its great I must say. Its nice to see your work. Thank you.

  • You are very talented. I haven't started a journal yet still a little bit challenged by it. But obvisously you're not. Oh, and I'm going to add a link to you from my site if that's ok.
