Supplies!
I picked up a few things from the office supplies store -- got home and realized that everything I got was green except for one purple pen.
I do love this color. Will bring everything to the office tomorrow using my green bag.

wrapping up the weekend

Weekends are so precious to me. Two days go by so fast!

I still get up early so I can have a good breakfast, have a good workout, and then I'm free to do anything the rest of the day. Some Saturdays, I meet up with old friends. Most Saturdays, I just hang out with F, walk around, eat, talk, window shop, shop, take pictures.
I also enjoy the rare Saturday when I am left alone. Such days seem longer, for some reason. I walk much more leisurely. I get to spend time inside my head. I can turn on the TV to keep me company and leave it on mute so as to maintain the silence in the condo. It's also an enjoyable solo activity to tidy up the place.
But however I spend my weekends these days, I truly savor them. I expect that next year, some of my weekends will be taken over by work. Launching shows will do that.
My favorite things from this weekend:
1. Family lunch at my Lola's with F
2. Reading time -- almost done with Magyk. A fun fun read.
3. Met up with geek friends over coffee.
4. Got me a planner for next year.
5. Beautiful breakfasts.
6. Found some time to post some snapshots.
Nothing extraordinary happened. But, it's been a pretty happy weekend. =)
It's almost over, but not quite. Still have a few more hours to enjoy! Yahoo!

Nokia had an area in Powerplant some weeks ago. They had nice light-up boxes that spelled out their name.

Happily restocked my bookpile. This should last me until Christmas.

I'm reading The Bloody Chamber (a collection of fairy tale retellings by Angela Carter) and Frank Beddor's The Looking Glass Wars, which I am enjoying immensely. I do love otherworld stories.
Found a nice copy of (the Illustrated) Dracula in the sale bin of National Bookstore, price was 200 pesos! Luckily, I saw another copy tucked in another bin. So I got that one too!
It has a few glossy full-color illustrations, and a bunch of bw ones, all by Jae Lee. I've read Dracula. So this copy is just a nice addition to my library.
My current read is The Looking Glass Wars, a spin on the Alice in Wonderland story. Really enjoying it. I'll be shuttling between here and Wonderland for the next few days.

Loot from the week. Stickers and rubber stamps (with postage stamp designs!), some buttons, a bunch of flowers, and a Moomin dish! The dish was a present (a surprise!) and it came from a thrift shop in Makati Cinema Square. It's in great condition despite the price being written on the bottom with a marker. Anyway, I was very much surprised and delighted. Gotta love those Moomintrolls.
