I have just finished drafting my very tight gift budget, barely fitting everything. All my money will go to this list, so I can't really buy myself a Christmas/birthday present. I have to admit that I had been feeling a bit frustrated, what with all the have-to-do's and want-to-do's clashing; and the want-to-do's losing so utterly.
But, see here, it all falls into place.
Just thought of a few things I am thankful for today.
1. birthdays -- two of them, seven days apart. Just thought of a simple, meaningful and inexpensive way to celebrate. I'll just need a few minutes at the stove and some mugs.
2. I had wanted a blender, and I got one from my show's party (plus a toaster too).
3. I was going to buy myself a copy of the book I thought I'd lost. Then I finally remembered who borrowed it! He will return it soon. Perfect for my Christmas read.
4. Redeemed an Amazon GC -- it covered a book plus dvd purchase plus shipping. Got the GC from my Amazon Associates banners. Free stuff! (Thanks, Lau!)
5. Redeemable points (A LOT, really). I can get things like Powerbooks GCs (yes!) and even an iPod shuffle (but I don't want that). For now, the Powerbooks GC's are it.
