the first week
Posted by u l a n on Monday, August 06, 2007 at 12:10 PM.
It's been a week since I moved here and so far, everything's going well. It's a good sign that I like the place enough (I actually like it a lot. The turquoise still tickles me) to have to force myself to leave.
Here are what I've done in my new environment since I moved here:
1. Visited Fully Booked with a couple of friends in Bonifacio High Street. (No, I didn't buy anything.)
2. Bought kesong puti and mangoes in Salcedo Market.
3. Impromptu lunch at my folks at their place in the Fort.
4. Gym.
5. Dinner with Roxanne at Java Man in Powerbooks Live (biglaan lang, one of those 'Hey let's meet up!' kind of thing)
6. Finally got to try the gelato at Gelatone in Greenbelt 3. The past months I've been commuting back to QC, I'd walk past the ice cream place in a rush to the MRT.
7. Watched Ratatouille in Power Plant (just a quick up and out; and then back again right after the flick)
So far, the only thing I haven't gotten used to is the lack of light. It's so difficult to get up and I miss the morning sun. I suppose a few more weeks here will do the trick. And a nice breakfast wouldn't hurt, too. :)
