penne lane

I used to hate eating penne pasta cos I found it tedious to spear them with a fork (thank you Paul for the phrase) one by one. And I always found penne less filling than spaghetti.

But, I've found an appreciation for penne because it's so easy to measure. I don't end up having more pasta than I could finish in one sitting. It kinda freaked me out a bit seeing the pointy pasta sticking straight up in the pot of boiling water like a forest of spears. It just looks a little freaky.
But I've gotten over that. And now I mainly use penne to make my regular pasta dish: the ever simple garlic-tomato sauce. Sometimes I scoop a bit of cottage cheese to thicken it. Grate a bit of cheddar cheese on top and I got me a non-frozen TV lunch.

I took shots using Lightbox (Canon powershot a40). I missed this little bugger. =)
I'll get ready to go to the mall now and maybe get a few gifts. I'll bring Lightbox and maybe take a few shots of my afternoon. I really really wish Yogurt Froz had an outlet in Cubao. I really want some right now!

Damnit, now I'm hungry! It's penne next time we have pasta here, in that case.
