happy christmas!

I left for my lola's house on the morning of the 24th in a rush, having stayed out drinking really late the night before. And because of that, I wasn't able to write my Christmas post :-P My Christmas post being a simple HAPPY CHRISTMAS, everyone! (caricature by Mea)And now that it's the 26th, I'm back home in my apartment with my beloved internet connection hehe. I also have some of my Christmas-birthday loot on my desk (for a photo op).

A leather-bound journal.
I brought most of my gifts (still wrapped) to my Lola's house so I could open them there. My family spends Christmas the same way every year -- with a simple noche buena of potato salad, ham, hot chocolate, pandesal, and fruit.
My lolo, lola, tita and I went to Christmas Mass and we got home around 10:30pm. My parents plus my cousins and their parents had arrived while we were at church.
And when I got there, I found out that my mom had already handed everyone their presents in a very anti-climactic way. She had asked them to open the presents right away, too. (I'm not sure but I think they weren't wrapped for surprise, even!)
It was funny and disappointing at the same time hahaha. But, since there were still a handful of us who haven't distributed our presents, we had some sort of gift-opening ceremony anyway.
And then I went to my room and opened the rest of my goodies.
But only after eating 3 buttered pandesals dunked in Antonio Pueo hot chocolate.
