buttonhole stitch binding

And so, I was at it again today. I decided to try out buttonhole stitch binding as I was able to find instructions on how to do it from this site.
This type of binding exposes the signatures in a little window in the middle of the spine.
I used eggshell paper once again, made 8 signatures of 3 sheets each. Cover board is regular chipboard which I got from the bookstore; covered it with handmade paper (still from my neverending stash c/o Data!); DMC embroidery thread for the binding.
I also cut out (and folded) a sheet from an old Beatles calendar into pockets, just to add another element to my book.
Elastic band with fishy charms keep the book shut.
Now, if only I can finish writing in my journals just as quickly, so I can keep up with the number of blank books waiting to be used on my desk...
